Control any generic appliance with your own Smart Outlet made with Quantum

Have you ever left something on but too lazy to go turn it off? Well now you don't need to get up ever again.

In this Quantum project video, Christian will show you how to build a smart outlet that can turn any appliance or device on or off from a computer or mobile device. To get into the holiday spirit, we used it to power cheap Christmas lights found at any store

This is a simple project that only uses the Quantum Starter Bundle, a power relay, and a cheap extension cord. But there is a catch...it deals with high voltage.

Full disclosure, this project uses high voltage and should only be made by people that are experienced in dealing with high voltage and electricity. This is a proof of concept and if you do decide to make this, understand that this can cause serious damage and harm to you, others, and property.
